Today, The Star is running a short profile of Rita. The article provides a bit of detail about Rita’s community involvement and a few brief descriptions of her positions on important issues facing Kansas City.
Last year during Hispanic Heritage Month, KCPT ran a series entitled “Hometown Heroes” which profiled several local Latinos and the impact the have had in their community and throughout Kansas City. Rita was proud to be a part of the project and she is grateful to KCPT for their coverage and their inclusiveness of Kansas City’s Latino Community and their recognition of the role that Latinos play in this city’s future.
